Good knowledge should travel. Here's how to share it properly.

The Short Version

All Nuggets on FedWell are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International licence. In plain English:

  • Share freely. Copy, redistribute, and display any Nugget in any medium or format, including commercially.
  • Word for word. Nuggets must be reproduced verbatim. No paraphrasing, summarising, or rewording.
  • Credit the expert. Every Nugget must carry the name of the contributing expert and a link to the original on fedwell.ai.

Keep the words intact. Keep the name attached. That's the deal.

Why Verbatim?

Each Nugget is a specific claim verified by a named expert through Socratic dialogue: a structured conversation where the expert's assertions are rigorously questioned for evidence, specificity, and sources before being accepted. The expert confirmed these exact words through that process. Changing them, even slightly, changes what the expert said and what the evidence supports.

The text is the science. The attribution is the accountability. Both must travel together, unchanged.

This protects the expert (they said what they said, not someone's summary of it), the reader (they see exactly what was verified), and you (you're sharing established expert knowledge, not an interpretation of it).

Attribution Format

Every Nugget you share must include:

  • The expert's name as shown on the Nugget
  • A link back to the Nugget on fedwell.ai
  • The evidence level (if space allows)

For academic or clinical citation:

[Expert name]. "[Claim text]." FedWell, fedwell.ai/nugget/[id], [date]. Evidence level: [level].

For example:

Dr Virginia Eden. "Omega-3 at 2g/day EPA benefits treatment-resistant depression." FedWell, fedwell.ai/nugget/abc123, 20 Feb 2026. Evidence level: Meta-analysis.

Each Nugget has a permanent URL and evidence level badge, so readers can verify the source and assess the strength of evidence themselves.

The Easiest Way to Share: Embed

An embedded Nugget renders directly from fedwell.ai, so the text, attribution, and evidence level are always correct. No risk of drift or misquotation. If the Nugget is ever updated or corrected, the embed updates too.

Copy this into any webpage:

Replace NUGGET_ID with the ID from the Nugget's URL. Each Nugget page will also have a ready-to-copy embed code.

Embedding is the recommended way to share, but not the only way. You're free to copy and display Nuggets anywhere, as long as they're reproduced verbatim with the expert's name and a link back to fedwell.ai.

What About the Experts?

Contributors share their verified knowledge under this licence because they believe good science should be accessible. In return, their name travels with their work, always. Attribution is not optional, it is the deal.
